Zubin's Newborn Studio Shoot

Baby Zubin, Navreet & Harman

I first met Navreet and Harman on a fantastic maternity shoot with just the two of them. :) I was very excited to meet little Zubin and as always, it is such an honor to be one of the first people to see the new addition and them become a family. Zubin was fabulous and it was really special having the grandparents here for the shoot too.

Below are just some of my favourites from thier session.

Garima & Arnab's Outdoor Maternity Shoot

East Coast Park Beach

We had a fantastic session at East Coast Park, getting there early enough to capture the sunrise. This is one of the best locations for sunrise because it’s completely unobstructed. Garima had some great photo ideas and we had a lot of fun making them a reality. This part of the park (Carpark E2) is definitely one of the cleanest and a lovely stretch of beach for all types of shoots. I look forward to coming back.

Here are a few of my favourites from their session;

Tess's Newborn Studio Shoot

Baby Tess, Roz & John

Roz planned a studio shoot with myself when little Tess arrived and I was lucky enough for her to visit when she was only a week old. This meant she was super sleepy and posed perfectly for the photos. Tess and John were incredible in front of the camera even though they had warned me they were a bit camera shy.

Mei & Jim's Outdoor Maternity Shoot

Alkaff Bridge & Botantic Gardens, Orchid Garden

Mei and Jim were celebrating chinese new year and it was the year of the pig so we did a few CNY themed fun photos on the amazingly colourful Alkaff Bridge. They also wanted to visit multiple locations including their condo rooftop which had a great few of the city and then finishing in the Botanic Gardens and the Orchid Garden. They were a fantastic combination of locations and Mei had chosen some wonderful outfits for the shoot so the outcome was brilliant.

Martin's Newborn Studio Shoot

Baby Martin, Laura, Jorge & Pablo

I first met Laura and Jorge when they came to my studio with their now eldest Pablo so I was delighted when Laura messaged me for a shoot for baby Martin. It’s always an honor to photograph peoples babies but especially so when they come back when their family has grown. Pablo was amazing as a big brother for the sibling photos and Martin was a super poser for his newborn shots.

Navreet & Harman's Outdoor Maternity Shoot

Botanic Gardens, Learning Forest

Navreet and Harman were expecting their first life changing bundle of fun and they got in touch to arrange special maternity shoot before the little fella arrived. They wanted to focus on a natural style of shoot but also encorporate some cool prop photo ideas too. Personally this is my favourite style of photos to do so I had a lot of fun.

Here are a few of my favourites from their session;

Felix's Newborn Studio Shoot

Baby Felix, Amy & Owen

Amy and Owen wanted both black background as well as some lighter tones for Felix’s newborn session. He was such a hero at only a few days old and we had fun replicating a photo of daddy being held by grandad when he was a baby to make a fantastic side by side photo.

Luca's Newborn Home Visit

Baby Luca, Katie and Andrew

Katie and Andrew invited me into their home for a very relaxed, lifestyle shoot. I always feel so humbled to be let into someone’s home, when they are still adjusting to life as parents - it’s such a special time of their lives. Baby Luca was adorable and we got some beautiful, natural shots. It was a lovely morning, here are some of my favourites.

Myra's Newborn Studio Shoot

Baby Myra, Kavita, Vivek & Zoey the dog :)

Baby Myra was lovely and young when she visited my studio with parents Kavita and Vivek, along with their lovely doggy Zoey. Myra went into poses amazingly because she was so sleepy. Vivek was also a big Arsenal footbal club fan so we got the compulsory footy photo too. Hehe.

The Smith's Maternity Home Visit Shoot

The smith family wanted an intimate and personal photo shoot in their own home with their eldest daughter. They had a great home for a shoot with lots of lovely natural light to use. We also did some fun and creative shots too.

Niamh's Newborn Studio Shoot

Baby Niamh, Natalie & Kinar

They say never work with children or animals - so to be asked to photograph a newborn baby with a cat was quite a request! But baby Niamh was a superstar and their cat, Super Hans was very chilled and well behaved. The shoot was a great success and we created some great shots.

Edward's Newborn Studio Shoot

Baby Edward, Sonia, Chris, Isabell & Indiana

Baby Edward came in with his wonderful and caring two older sisters, oh and Mom and Dad of course. Sibling shots are challenging because the older siblings are having to deal with a big change but when they are as lovely as these two it is a lot easier. I loved the shoot and here are some of my favourites;

William's Newborn Studio Shoot

Baby William, Danielle & Drew

Danielle and Drew brought their beautiful baby William to my studio for some newborn photos. They wanted to mainly focus on William so we got some lovely ones using props, the beanbag poser, black background and fluffy blankets. He was incredibly easy to work with and slept most of the session. What a dream!! :)

Alba's Newborn Studio Shoot

Baby Alba, Chanelle & ME!! :)

Obviously there was no way that I would miss the chance to photograph my own beautiful baby girl. It was so strange to take photos of my own daughter but it was fantastic to take the time and experiment with some cool new ideas and props. Also loved doing the before and after maternity/newborn shoot photos, they came out really well. Time flys by when you become a dad, especially those first few weeks so I wish I had taken more.

Below are just some of my favourites from our session.

Chanelle’s Studio Maternity Shoot

My beautiful wife and I were having our first child and what better reason to get in the studio and take some bump photos. We wanted to try out some more experimental and creative lighting techniques that I think worked really well. I love studio maternity shoots because you can get really creative with the light which looks very elegant.

Olivia's Newborn Studio Shoot

Baby Olivia, Done & Jason

Little Olivia came to my studio at only six days old which is a fantastic age to photograph a newborn because like her, they tend to be super sleepy and womb like! Mom Done had been busy on Etsy buying some really cute and fun outfits for her to wear which was great to try new things. Dad Jason had his mother in town too so it was a joy to get some three generation shots, they always look so magical I think. For first time parents and newborn session they were so unbelievably chilled, helping out where I needed it and even shedding the odd tear here and there. They were so cute! :)

Molly's Newborn Home Visit

Baby Molly, Jacqui & Ross

Jacqui invited me to visit their family home only a week after Molly had arrived into the world. They wanted some natural lifestyle photos of them around the house which I really love doing as it’s such a beautiful perspective to capture. I also brought along some of my studio gear to get some nice variation.

Shondelle & Rob's Outdoor Maternity Shoot

The botanic gardens learning forest

Shondelle and Rob contacted me requesting an outdoor style maternity photo shoot having lived in Singapore for a number of years now. They wanted something green and natural so we settled on the famous Botanical Gardens. The newly opened Learning Forest section of the gardens is the perfect location for the a photo shoot with lots of fun photographic opportunities. They had some great ideas and were a lot of fun to work with. Both of them had great personalities but they also looked fantastic, dressed up for the occasion.

A maternity shoot is always such a fantastic way to get to know one another if considering a newborn session once the little bundle of fun arrives. Please be sure to contact me if you have any questions or would like to make an enquiry.

Estelle's Newborn Studio Shoot

Baby Estelle, Rebecca, Robin, Liam & Matteo

It can be difficult with such a creative profession to come up with unique and fresh ideas for every shoot but not this one. It's a lot of fun when the client has their own ideas, even more so when they have a theme too. :) Baby Estelle's daddy Robin was french so they wanted a couple of french themed photos using some amazing props that they had brought along with them. My favourite was the huge "Boulangerie" board. When a client has these ideas it's up to me as the photographer to implement them in a creative but stylish way, so its always a welcome challenge to push my skills. The whole family were amazing after Estelle's older brothers Liam and Matteo had had their own newborn shoots before AND even done some professional modelling too. I couldn't believe my luck when I was able to try some sibling shots I'd been toying with for a while. Perfect shoot!!
